Privacy Policy
This policy describes how GLIP handles information when you use glip.tv to create events, share media, or make purchases.
Information you provide
We process account and contact information, event details, photos and videos, guest submissions, and messages you send for support. Uploaded files may include metadata such as capture dates or location information. Only upload information you have permission to share.
How the service uses information
We use information to sign you in, operate galleries and photo walls, apply event permissions and moderation, process upgrades, send service messages, respond to support requests, and maintain the service.
Event visibility
Hosts choose event visibility, upload permissions, and moderation settings. An unlisted link can be forwarded; unlisted does not mean access is restricted to named people. Hosts and authorized event participants may view, download, or share content according to event settings. Contact the host if you want an event submission removed.
Service providers and payments
GLIP uses hosting, database, storage, email, and payment providers to operate the service. Current software integrates Replit hosting and storage, PostgreSQL database services, Resend email, and Stripe payments. Stripe handles payment details; GLIP stores payment references and status to manage purchases.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising measurement
GLIP uses session cookies to keep you signed in and browser storage to remember checkout and referral information. The software includes Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, OpenAI advertising measurement, and product analytics integrations. When enabled, these services can receive usage events, device or browser information, advertising identifiers, and purchase information. Some server-side advertising integrations can send hashed identifiers.
GLIP also uses a first-party browser identifier, stored in a cookie for up to 90 days, to measure visits and free-event clicks. When you create an account, we can link those actions to account creation, event creation, upload milestones, and confirmed purchases. This helps us understand where the service is useful or difficult to use. These funnel records contain identifiers and activity timestamps; the marketing collector does not send event names, photo contents, full referral URLs, or URL query strings.
Browser controls can restrict cookies and storage, which may affect sign-in and checkout recovery. Contact us about privacy choices or questions concerning these integrations.
Retention and requests
GLIP stores event information and uploads to provide galleries and downloads. Hosts should download a separate copy of important media. Contact support@glip.tv to request access, correction, or deletion of your account information or content. We may need to verify your identity and retain transaction records or other information where needed for legal obligations, disputes, or security.
Temporary private demos
A demo gives you a temporary photo and video gallery without creating an account. Access expires after one hour. Demo uploads are automatically deleted after expiry; failed deletions are retried. You can close the demo sooner to immediately remove access and queue its uploads for deletion. Keep your original files. Anyone with the private link can access the demo and its uploads, so share the link only with people you trust. Demo uploads do not transfer into a newly created event.
We measure successful demo starts, whether a demo receives a real upload, live-wall use, and clicks to create a free event. Sample photos are excluded from the real-upload milestone. These activity records use identifiers and timestamps, not photo contents or private sharing tokens, and may remain after the demo files are deleted. Where the same browser later creates an account, these actions can be linked to the account and purchase funnel described above.
